Bio: Tricia Buchheit, MSHS, brings nearly 30 years of experience in patient recruitment, retention, and project management across agencies, CROs, core labs, and biotechnology companies. Her diverse background offers a comprehensive understanding of the challenges stakeholders face in enrolling and retaining patients in clinical trials. Currently, she leads the development and execution of patient-centric engagement and recruitment strategies to support the advancement of life-changing RNAi therapeutics.

Why I’m passionate about patient engagement: “How can we expect patients to enroll in a clinical trial if we don’t know the patient? How can we expect them to agree to numerous study assessments and time consuming study visits if we haven’t walked in their shoes? I am extremely passionate about bringing clinical trials and potential treatment options to patients, but to do that, we must get to know the patients, learn from them how the protocol and assessments can be improved to make it easier to participate, and ensure their wants and needs are well represented to enhance clinical trial enrollment.”
