New Hire Spotlight: Michael Maisonet, Senior Business Development Associate

We’re spotlighting the most important part of our work here at 1nHealth—our team. These are the folks who bring the energy, the ideas, and the spark to everything we do.

Up today is our first New Hire Spotlight: Michael Maisonet, our newest Senior Business Development Associate—who’s driven by helping sponsors and study teams reach patients who need it most.

Learn more about his background, his path to 1nHealth, and more below!

What's your new role at 1nHealth?

I’m excited to join 1nHealth as the newest Senior Business Development Associate. What really drew me in was the way this team approaches a problem that’s been around for a long time—patient recruitment for clinical trials.

Instead of relying on the same old methods, 1nHealth is using real-world data to engage patients directly digitally. It’s a fresh, more effective approach that breaks from the industry norm, and I’m thankful to be part of a company that’s genuinely rethinking clinical trial enrollment.

Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to 1nHealth

I’ve worked in business development across both B2C and B2B, gaining experience in building relationships, understanding client needs, and driving growth in different industries. But over time, I developed a strong appreciation for roles that create meaningful impact beyond just sales numbers.

When an opportunity to join 1nHealth came up, I was instantly curious. The more I learned about the company’s innovative approach to patient recruitment, the more it clicked for me. This isn’t just about business development—it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives by helping connect patients to critical clinical trials.

Playing a role in connecting people with life-saving treatments was something I knew I wanted to be a part of.

If your career path had a headline, what would it be?

He trusted the process and found his way.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across different industries. I didn’t always know exactly where the path would lead, but I focused on showing up each day and trusting the process. Looking back, I couldn’t be happier with where I’ve landed—and I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here.

How do you relax and re-energize outside of work?

I’m a family man through and through. At my son’s request, we dressed as zoo animals. They keep me grounded, growing, and occasionally in a lion costume. My family keeps me motivated, improving and reminds me not to sweat the small stuff.

What's something you're excited to tackle at 1nHealth?

I started at 1nHealth just a few weeks ago during DIA 2025, so I’m excited to continue to connect with more colleagues across the industry to show how we can help de-risk timelines and speed up enrollment in a way that really makes a difference. It’s about having honest conversations that highlight practical solutions.

What’s something you think your new co-workers would be surprised to learn about you?

I had the chance to live in Singapore for four months and explore Southeast Asia. My cousin has started a few businesses throughout Southeast Asia and wanted to bring me onto his team as he was expanding. I ended up returning stateside to stay closer to my family but had an incredible time having the chance to experience all the different cultures there.

If you had a billboard that the entire clinical research industry would see, what would it say?

“Tired of the same old industry approach? We are too, we’ve found a better way, and we can prove it.”
