CenExel
Salt Lake City, UT
CenExel is a standout example of how dedication, coordination, and patient-centered communication drive recruitment success. On a recent study, their team consistently excelled down the funnel—accounting for 12% of appointments, 15% of ICFs, and 18% of randomizations. They enrolled 30 of 169 referrals (the highest among study sites) and 40 of 275 ICFs (tied for the highest), demonstrating the impact of their proactive approach.
Warm transfers further supported this seamless process. CenExel’s responsiveness and commitment show how small, coordinated actions can make a major difference in both recruitment and retention.
We’re proud to highlight their efforts in this week’s Site Spotlight.
How do you ensure your referrals feel valued and understood when visiting your site?
Ensuring that referrals feel valued and understood begins with thoughtful, consistent communication at every step of the process. When speaking with each potential participant, we take the time to provide clear information about the study and make sure they have the opportunity to ask any questions, no matter how small.
We follow up with personalized email and text confirmations and send timely reminders ahead of their appointments to reinforce our commitment to their time and participation. By maintaining open, proactive communication, we help participants feel respected, informed, and supported, fostering trust and confidence in both the site and the study experience.
How does your site stay ahead of the curve in terms of industry best practices?
Our site stays ahead of the curve by actively prioritizing continuous education and process improvement. We regularly engage with industry literature, attend relevant conferences, and participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in clinical research.
This commitment allows us to evaluate and refine our workflows, adopt new technologies, and implement strategies that enhance both patient experience and study outcomes.
How do the members of your team like to unwind after a busy day at work?
We make time for friends and family, and also enjoy occasional team-building events.
