Bio: Marlene Vincent is a recognized leader in global patient advocacy with extensive experience in rare diseases and gene therapy. Currently serving as Head of Patient Advocacy at Intercept Pharmaceuticals. Previously, at bluebird bio, Marlene led significant advocacy efforts resulting in the inclusion of Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in state newborn screening programs across the United States, greatly improving early diagnosis and treatment options. Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the rare disease community, she also actively volunteers with various rare disease non-profit organizations, contributing her expertise and support beyond her professional responsibilities. Marlene is pursuing her Master’s in International Pharma and Public Health Management at Rome Business School. Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to empowering patient communities and improving lives through dedicated advocacy.
