Why I’m passionate about patient engagement: “As an oncology nurse I am passionate about the holistic support of patients, their families, and their health care providers. I am grateful for this award highlighting me as a leader in patient engagement which is a constant reminder of our north star- the patients we serve and the staff taking care of them. They are relying on the access to coordinated care, innovations, and unique opportunities that exist in clinical trials and beyond. My work now in clinical research remains focused on supporting the sites that are taking care of the patients by creating tailored strategies, study tools, and sharing information to enhance recruitment. Thank you for this nomination and recognition as we all remain focused on what we need to do to inform, enable, and empower our patients.”
