Position: Senior Medical Director at COTA

Bio: Ming He is the Senior Medical Director of COTA, a respected name in the field of oncology RWD/RWE. Ming is responsible for establishing and maintaining clinical elements in COTA’s database to ensure these elements are relevant and suited to calculating a multitude of real world outcomes. In this way, tens of thousands of retrospective patient records can help facilitate new drug development and approvals. Ming is a also adjuvant oncology faculty at UT Southwestern Medical school. She attends the fellows clinical at Parkland Hospital, which has been Dallas County’s community hospital since 1894. In her role at UT Southwestern, she is dedicated to teaching future generations of oncologists, and enrolling under represented patient populations in clinical trials .

Why I’m passionate about patient engagement: “I am grateful to be recognized for roles that may not often come to mind when thinking about patient engagement and research. High quality RWD could not exist without our partnership with our providers, and the patient journeys that fill in knowledge gaps where prospective trials may not be possible or ethical. It is a privilege to help develop these patient journeys into data points that guide the future of oncology treatment. I hope that more physicians who work with under served populations will be recognized for their efforts. Despite many challenges, these physicians work to bring the best treatment options to their patients, including clinical trials.”
